Container Cargo Delivery Methods(1)

1. Door-to-door handover:  means that the shipping agent accepts the goods from the consignor’s factory or warehouse, and is responsible for delivering the goods to the consignee’s factory or warehouse for delivery. the delivery type of cargo is the delivery of the whole container.

2. Door to CY(door to container yard): means that the freight forwarder accepts the goods at the consignor’s factory or warehouse, and is responsible for transporting the goods to the dockyard of the unloading port or its inland yard. The yard is delivered to the consignee. In this handover method, the goods are also handed over by the whole container.

3. Door to CFS(container freight station): means that the shipping agent accepts the goods at the shipper’s factory or warehouse, and is responsible for transporting the goods to the container freight station at the port of unloading, or within the container freight station. The freight station in the land area will be delivered to each consignee after unpacking. Under this handover method, the shipping agent generally accepts the goods in a full container and delivers the goods in the form of an LCL.
